Australia :'( Day 5

27 April 2011

I supposed fly to Brisbane by Tiger Airways this morning.
A vending machine in the airport toilet, supply what u needs.

My favorite drinks in Australia, SOLO lemonade soda

It accompany me to kill the time.
Unfortunately,30 minutes before boarding, an announcement  told the flight will be delay for 3 hours due to bad weather condition (but flight from other airline can operation as usual). OooooK, what to do? This is the cheapest within all budget air in Australia.
Tiger Airways gave us A$6 voucher for refreshment. (A$6 for 3 hours, Tiger Airways treat us cheap too!)

………3 hours past. What happened NEXT???
The CHEAP air crew told us, the flight has been canceled!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can choose to refund the money or wait for tomorrow flight. Are You kidding me??? I’ve booked & paid the accommodation in Brisbane & all of us in the airport  had been wait for more than 4 hours!!! A crowd started to make noise.
 The crowd surrounding the counter

The air crew told us no compensation for our loss. What they can do is provide 1 night accommodation fees up to $120 per person. We must attach with all the expenses receipt but they unsure when can credit it back to us. They can’t do anything further, as all of the crew there are not direct under Tiger Airways. If you have any complain, you need to make a call to Tiger Airways at Melbourne. The crew in Sydney airport is extremely rude, no manners , unfriendly & unhelpful at all! They were terrible! I was trying to explain my situation to them, but apparently they shown impatient and trying to push all the responsibility. They told they are not directly under Tiger airways, they can’t do anything. Bla blab la…..

An advice to whom will be travelling to Australia, please think twice before you purchase your ticket. Lesson learnt, some airline can be irresponsible like this.
After struggling with them, I’ve decided travel to Gold Coast by Virgin Blue. I think this is the best choice for domestic flight in Australia.

I reached Gold Coast airport around 8pm, so I decided to stay in the nearest YHA.
